In short: You are responsible for the images you upload and for what you do with the results. We don’t store your images. The Service is provided as is. Don’t use it to counterfeit anything, violate someone else’s rights, or mislead people.
Agreement
By using NumisCut (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
If the law where you live requires you to be older or requires additional parental consent to use a service like NumisCut, those requirements also apply.
What the Service does
NumisCut is a free automated tool that removes the background from images you provide and may offer related image-processing features, such as cropping or creating collages.
Although NumisCut was created particularly for images of coins, banknotes, collectibles, and similar items, it can process other types of images.
We may change, limit, suspend, or stop any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service or any particular feature will always be available.
Your images and your responsibility
You keep whatever rights you have in your images and in the results. We claim no ownership of either.
You confirm that you own each image you upload, or have every permission needed to upload it, have it processed, and use the result the way you intend. That includes, where applicable, copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, and other rights, including the rights of people shown in an image.
You are responsible for the images you upload and for how you use, publish, distribute, share, or otherwise use the results.
NumisCut is not responsible for claims or disputes resulting from an image you upload or from your use of a result, including claims concerning ownership, copyright, privacy, publicity, fraud, misrepresentation, or other misuse.
You give us permission to process each image only as necessary to provide the Service and produce the result you requested.
As explained in our Privacy Policy, we don’t store your original images or generated results after processing, and we don’t use them to train or improve any model.
We don’t review uploaded images, so we can’t verify what is uploaded, who owns it, whether it is authentic, or whether you have permission to use it.
About the results
Results are generated automatically and may be imperfect. For example, they may contain rough edges, missing details, unwanted cropping, artifacts, or other processing errors.
Check every result before you use, publish, share, submit, or sell anything with it.
The Service does not authenticate, grade, appraise, identify, certify, or value any coin, banknote, collectible, document, or other item.
Nothing produced by the Service is an opinion or representation about whether an item is genuine, what condition or grade it is in, where it came from, who owns it, or what it is worth.
The fact that NumisCut processes an image does not mean that NumisCut approves, verifies, endorses, or makes any representation about the image, the item shown in it, or how the result will be used.
Acceptable use
You may use the Service for any lawful purpose.
Because NumisCut can remove the background from many kinds of images, these rules apply to everything you process, whether it is a coin, banknote, document, collectible, product, person, or anything else.
You agree not to:
- make, alter, reproduce, or help make counterfeit or forged money, coins, banknotes, stamps, securities, identity documents, certificates, grading labels or holders, authentication marks, or any other item for the purpose of deception or fraud;
- use the Service or its results to misrepresent the authenticity, condition, grade, origin, ownership, rarity, or value of an item, including in listings, auctions, sales, advertisements, or submissions to grading or authentication services;
- process images you have no right to use, or images that infringe or violate someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- process or create content that is illegal;
- process or create content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers minors. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse or exploitation;
- process intimate or sexually explicit imagery of another person without that person’s consent;
- use the Service or its results to harass, threaten, defame, exploit, or incite violence against anyone;
- use the Service or its results to deceive, defraud, or impersonate a person or organization, including by knowingly presenting fake or materially manipulated images as authentic for a deceptive purpose;
- send automated, excessive, or abusive requests to the Service without permission;
- bypass or attempt to bypass rate limits, access restrictions, security measures, or other safeguards;
- interfere with, disrupt, damage, or overload the Service or the systems used to provide it;
- access or attempt to access systems, data, or parts of the Service that you are not authorized to access;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover or extract the source code, algorithms, models, or non-public processing logic of the Service, except where applicable law expressly allows it; or
- break any law or regulation that applies to you, including laws concerning the reproduction or alteration of currency, securities, identification documents, or other regulated materials.
We may block, limit, or end access to the Service if we reasonably believe someone is breaking these rules, abusing the Service, interfering with its operation, or creating a legal or security risk. We may do so without notice.
Our rights
The Service itself, including its software, design, text, name, logo, and other materials provided by NumisCut, belongs to NumisCut or its respective rights holders and is protected by applicable law.
We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.
This does not give us ownership of your images or results, and it does not give you ownership of the Service itself.
We keep every right that we don’t expressly give you.
Third-party services
The Service uses third-party services and infrastructure to operate and support the website.
Some services, such as Google Analytics, are used only if you consent to them, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Other third parties may provide hosting, content delivery, or other technical infrastructure necessary to make the Service available.
Those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We don’t control third-party services and are not responsible for their independent acts, omissions, availability, or handling of information.
No warranties
The Service and all results are provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, availability, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We don’t guarantee that the Service will always be available, secure, accurate, uninterrupted, or free of errors, or that any result will be complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose.
You are responsible for checking results before relying on or using them.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NumisCut and the people who operate it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or anticipated savings, arising from or relating to the Service, the images you upload, the results, your inability to use the Service, or how you or anyone else uses the results, even if we were told such damages were possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of NumisCut and the people who operate it for all claims arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed US $100.
These limitations apply regardless of the legal basis of the claim, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Some places don’t allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NumisCut and the people who operate it from and against third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or relating to:
- images you upload or process through the Service;
- your use, publication, distribution, sharing, or sale of results;
- your breach of these Terms;
- your violation of applicable law; or
- your infringement or violation of another person’s rights.
This does not require you to indemnify NumisCut for responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to transfer to you.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time.
We may block, limit, suspend, or end your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, abused the Service, created a security or legal risk, or interfered with its operation.
We may also change or discontinue the Service at any time.
The parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue after your use ends will continue to apply. These include responsibility for your images and results, our rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law, and the general provisions below.
Governing law
These Terms are interpreted and enforced under the laws that apply to the situation, as determined by a court or other authority with jurisdiction.
NumisCut is operated from the United States, but these Terms do not remove any mandatory consumer rights or protections you may have under the law where you live.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit a right that applicable law does not allow you to waive or limit.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The date at the top shows the latest version.
If a change is significant, we may make that clear on the website where appropriate.
If you continue using the Service after updated Terms take effect, you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you don’t agree with an updated version, stop using the Service.
General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us concerning your use of the Service.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and the rest of the Terms will remain in effect.
If we don’t enforce a part of these Terms, that doesn’t waive our right to enforce it later.
Headings are included only to make these Terms easier to read and do not change their meaning.
